More About David Williams

Dr. David Williams was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and educated in the Escambia County School District. David and his wife, Gail, have been blessed with two children, David II and Danielle, and three grandchildren, Rylan Noel, David III, and Jonothan David. David is the fifth son of six boys born to the late Hollice T. and Laura Williams.

David attended A.A. Dixon Elementary, Brownsville Middle School, and Pensacola High School. He continued his education at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

David obtained advanced degrees from the University of West Florida — a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Assessment.

Dr. David Williams retired from the Escambia County School District after thirty-five years of service as a substitute teacher, bus driver, Drop-Out Prevention teacher, math teacher, club sponsor, head basketball coach, assistant football coach, assistant principal, and principal. David was voted Pensacola High School Teacher of the Year in 2004, Escambia County Coach of the Year four times, and Escambia County Principal of the Year in 2016.
